Very much alike the courtesy lamps on the 300 doors. Get rid of the oem festoon light with a soft towel, lamp is very hot. Slide one end of the LED festoon light down the folded socket prong. Smoothly unfold the other folded socket prong and work the other end of the LED festoon light bulb down. After it is snug in place and illuminated. Flick it a few times to make sure it is tight. Fold straight down the unfolded ending of the socket prong.

1. From the click on/off end of the clear lens. Work with a tiny jewelry/glasses flat head screw driver. Carefully wedge it into the on/off end of the lens and pry that end of the lens down. It may possibly seem like it will take, don't be concerned. The other end of the lens has a tab on it and basically pull the lens, soon after popping it from the on/off end and it will appear.

2. You need to right now see the oem 194 bulb and a rear reflector.

3. I work with the smaller flat go to pop the 194 bulb out. I own a towel in the other hand to catch the hot 194 LED bulbs.

4. Never take away the rear reflector on the rear map lighting.

5. Before the installation of the 194 tower SMT lamps. Check out the socket prongs that keep the light bulb in place. While you take away the oem 194 light bulbs, the prongs usually tend to un-bend a little. So get your fingers and casually re-squeeze them a bit stronger.

6. Once the fresh 194 LED is fitted. Flick it a few times to make sure it keep on. If it doesn't. Move the led bulb out and re-squeeze the socket prongs. When the light stays on. Re-mount the clear lens.

7. Have the end of the lens by using the wedge on it and put that directly into place. After that push in the on/off click end and you are completed.

Front Map Lights.
1. From the click on/off end of the clear lens. Use a tiny jewelry/glasses flat head screw driver. Very carefully wedge it into the on/off end of the lens and pry that end of the lens straight down. It may seem such as it will snap, don't worry. The backside end of the lens is held in place by 2 notches. Pull down with your fingers and it should pop free. Occasionally it pops free when you are wedged in having the flat head and taking down.

2. Remove the rectangular metal reflector. I use a set of pliers, simply because the metal may be hot. You will certainly be left with the oem light bulb and the rear refector, at the rear of the lamp.

3. I work with a small hand towel to attain up and get rid of the oem light bulb, it will be very hot.

4. Consider your pliers and acquire a grip on the rear reflector piece, nearest to the roof. You will really need to pull and twist to get the rear reflector to pop off of its 2 moutning points. At this point. You might throw away each metal reflectors, you will probably not need all those.

5. Before fitting the 44mm LED bulbs. Head to the socket prongs that hold the bulb in place. As soon as you remove the oem lamp, the prongs are likely to un-bend a little. You can put your hand under the lighting to support discover where it's aiming.

Ford explorer with LED Interior Lights Installation

Hi everyone. I planned to present everyone how to change those regular interior light bulbs for LED bulbs on 4th Gen Ford Explorer. I'm not sure if another person has or not posted this before, but here you go. I did the following on my 2007 Ford Explorer yesterday afternoon. This challenge required about 30-45 minutes to do. I am not responsible for any kind of injury YOU do to ones vehicle. Try this set up AT YOUR OWN RISK.

You are going to get 6 led bulbs. That is how much it needs for all interior bulbs. 3 sets of 2 bulbs per pack, hopefully I said this right with free shipping and delivery. I consider is a good deal. You are going to have some simple hand tools.

First factor is to get rid of screw from over head console.

LED Interior Light Installation 3

As soon as you take remove screw, you will have to pop down front over head console, very carefully.

LED Interior Light Installation 4

Simply planned to show everyone what contains the front part of over head console. After that you unplug connector to the lights.

LED Interior Light Installation 5

Take off the 4 screws in the circle. Sorry for the picture, I didn't remember to take picture of product above flip over. (The 3rd photo indicates a better view of portion with screws)
(At least it illustrates the perspective of the standard bulb fitted. )

LED Interior Light Installation 6

Graphic displays the LED bulb mounted. You might have to change (by turn them) them after you mount the overhead console, at least temporary.

LED Interior Light Installation 7

I plugged them up to test them out. I think they are bright. (Turn on the LED bulbs, to view if they work. If one among them doesn't work, you may need to flip the bulb around. )

For the reinstalling the stuff is reverse of removal.

Here are some pictures previously mounted.

LED Panel Lights Installation for Dodge Charger

The lights that i ordered are not the exact measurement as the halogen bulbs that come stock. The do come with connections for both the front and the back so for $25 you might do your complete inner surface. Not bad if you ask me. For now just to make sure i liked them i ordered one set. $12. 50 shipped.

led map lights installation 1

All right first off you have to have a small flat head screw driver. You will push this up by the portion of the light you push to change it on. Once you get it up pry it straight down. It will only fall a little, just like this particular.

led map lights installation 2

When you get that done check out and you'll see a piece of plastic keeping it in. Take the tiny screw drive and push it up to the top of the plastic and push it in and pull down once you find it free. It will feel like its likely to break but unless you put an astronomical sum of pressure on it it won't. Couldn't truly get a picture of that.

As soon as you get the bit of plastic off you ought to take the old light out and get a set of two of pliers and pull the heat shields out. They're a little of a pain and i really just clamped down and jerked it. As soon as you have them out it should appear like the following.

led map lights installation 3

Following that take your light and put it in the clamps. Just before you put the double sided tape down BE CERTAIN THE LIGHTS WORK! If they don't work at first try flipping it around in the clamp connections. I turned the lights entirely off when i was swapping it around. Didn't need to take the risk of receiving surprised or screwing something up. As soon as you observe that they are working Peel off the double sided tape and push it up there where it fits. I discovered it fits effectively and appears beneficial right here..

led map lights installation 4

Check to ensure that all is still working.

led map lights installation 5

Right now tuck the wires up in the light cavity making sure they don't block the lighting.

led map lights installation 6

Right now to put the bit of plastic back on you work backwards. Get started with the back and clip it in.

led map lights installation 7

And then push the front in. You may possibly have to push the piece in a little bit. then boom you're fixed! (the right one wasn't stuck up difficult enough so it is resting on the plastic and appears a little bit interesting)
